• The Senate Standing Committee on Industries & Production, joined by Federal Secretary, and Joint Secretary of Ministry of Industries & Production (MoI&P), visited the head office of Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) in Karachi on Thursday 1st Sep 2022, where the committee was briefed on the work and responsibilities of PIDC by Mr. Rizwan Ahmed Bhatti, CEO PIDC.

• The meeting was followed by committee’s visit of PIDC managed Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Karachi, namely Bin Qasim Industrial Park (BQIP) and Korangi Creek Industrial Park (KCIP). During the visit of these SEZs, the committee also visited some of the leading industrial units which operate there, and expressed its satisfaction on the development of these SEZs.
